Technical Expertise & Outstanding Service Chris and the rest of the team at TLS Motoroworks have been inspecting and repairing our Priuses for almost two years now, and I decided to wait before writing a review until I could see the results of their findings and work. They conducted full inspections for our two most recent vehicles (a 2008 Prius & 2013 Prius V) before we bought them. In the inspection for the Prius V, they warned us of some danger signs and said that they could not give it the green light, but we bought the vehicle anyway, due to the stiff competition in the used Prius market at that time. Sure enough, we eventually did have to do a major repair on that Prius, and Chris put in several hours of research to try to limit part costs for us. We are grateful to Kenny & Robbie for being such knowledgeable hybrid mechanics. The first time I tried to make an appointment at TLS, the person who answered the phone told me that they did not have any availability for a few days because a couple of their mechanics were at a hybrid vehicle repair training event. I could have probably written a 5 star review just based on that, but the folks at TLS Motorworks have repeatedly proven themselves to be top-notch. And no, they did not pay me to write this review. For me, owning a reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle and having it repaired by experts is a type of risk management, as it limits my exposure to vehicle expenses. I have been using TLS pretty much since they opened, and Kenny was my mechanic at his previous business. I have always felt like they have been fair and giving me honest evaluations, never pressuring me to do a repair that isn’t necessary at that time, but giving me honest feedback about when it’s urgent or how long I’m able to safely put it off, if I am trying to budget for the repair. My most recent repair I paid in full with cash, and they gave me a discount as there were no credit card transaction fees, fixed the belly pan that my oil change place had left unsecured, and even returned my car to me washed as a surprise at no additional charge. They’ve even helped me out with rides since I don’t live far, which is a huge help since I live alone. I joke that I am always going to drive a Toyota or Lexus so I can keep my mechanic (but they can repair any car except a German one that needs different tools). I definitely recommend TLS if you are in need of a mechanic!

I just love these guys! My Honda Civic is precious to me and they take great care in giving Me the car back nice and clean . The prices are always very fair!!!

Be aware. This business may actively be petitioning Google to remove unfavourable reviews. I left a review months ago with a screenshot as evidence but it was deleted. They overcharge. I was quoted $3000 for work completed for $900 by another shop. Check around.

Make sure you check your car for any damages before you leave! I brought my car in for service on a Friday and noticed there was a small damage on my driver side door that wasn’t there when I brought it in. I notified them of the issue on Monday when I noticed the issue over the weekend. They informed me they can’t do anything about it because it had been 3 days…well I picked up my car on Friday when the shop was closing and when I noticed it it was Saturday and they are closed over the weekend, I had no chance to contact them until they were open again on Monday. Of course the technician denied that they damaged it…why would they admit it? They tried to tell me that they had no reason to lie because their policy is that there would be no repercussions if they admit fault…ok good policy but I really wonder if they would admit it after the fact since I really have no proof. Needless to say I would not recommend coming here and if you do, make sure you check for car and take pictures before you bring it in.
